Reduce Windsor-Essex residents’ exposure to tobacco use in Outdoor Sports and Recreation Facilities through advocacy for local by-laws prohibiting smoking in Outdoor Sports and Recreation areas. Promote and advocate for the development and adoption of the Tobacco Free Outdoor Sports and Recreation areas by-law by all Windsor-Essex County Municipalities.
 

Develop partnerships with municipality recreation centers.

Provide resources and support for advocacy presentation development.

Develop promotional materials and policy support resources.

Youth leaders develop and implement tobacco free presentations.

Encourage Minor Sports Associations support for municipal by-laws.
 

Create resources for Tobacco Free Outdoor Sports and Recreation policy development.

Increase and provide affordable access to Recreation and Leisure Services, thereby increasing physical activity within the community. Promote and advocate for the development and adoption of policy supporting affordable access to Recreation and Leisure Services in all Windsor-Essex County Municipalities.

Hold a community forum targeting Municipal Recreation and Leisure directors to identify, advocate and develop policies that support subsidizing for affordable access to Recreation and Leisure Services.
